MANUFACTURING PROCESS:
Damascus blade is forged of three types of steel:
– steel 15N20
– steel 0 1
– steel W 1-1.2 C SPEC
Fixed blade knife.
15N20 steel for Damascus blades, made by European Bohler – steel with a high nickel content.
Sharpening retention: this is a hard steel with excellent blade retention, perfect for knives.
Corrosion resistance: has a very low corrosion resistance, as there is no chromium in the alloy.
Wear resistance: alloy 15N20 has high wear resistance.
Sharpness: 15N20 steel is great for sharpening a knife and easy to sharpen.
It is recommended to treat the blade during storage and after use with Renaissance wax for knife care.
